For this Guns America Revolution DI Review, I was loaned a 16” direct impingement Revolution chambered in 308. The first thing I noticed as I began using the rifle was its weight. The 16” DI Revolution weighs only 6.8 pounds. The dry weight of most similar rifles is closer to 9 pounds. Being able to drop that much weight while retaining its durability is pretty amazing. Some of the weight savings are due to the reduced size of the receiver set. Further reductions in weight come from the fluted barrel.
