This buffer is a 4.2 oz hydraulic buffer system designed and optimized for use with suppressors. The RB5000 is compatible with all Revolution lowers, Rogue Lowers, and all AR-15 lowers that use a carbine buffer tube. The buffers patented technology absorbs the recoil impulse from the bolt carrier’s rearward motion.
Factory replacement 3 oz. carbine recoil buffer. It is 3.25" in length and is 3 oz in total weight. This buffer is for use with carbine buffer tubes and standard carbine buffer springs.
The buffer is designed to provide a counterbalance to the recoil energy generated by firing the rifle. This helps to reduce the bolt carrier groups cyclic rate. By slowing the carrier's cyclic rate, the buffer prevents prevent the BCG from slamming into the back of the receiver.
